My PET scan was reviewed by a specialist and he has confirmed that I am cancer free…..woo hoo…....I also had another cervical biopsy done late last week…..My gyno wanted to do it just to be on the safe side….the results are due this week…..My port is coming out…..That procedure is scheduled for Monday February 15…....I’m feeling good…...my energy level continues to improve…...Just hard to switch gears…..from fighting cancer to not fighting cancer….....Overall though feeling strong and happy…......

I met with my doctor last week to discuss the results of my pet scan and blood test…...According to the pet scan my nasopharyngeal mass is gone…..and so is the mass in my left lung…....However, the pet scan is “lighting up” everywhere else in my body…....The doc seems to think the pet scan is wrong since the blood work is normal and I’m feeling so good…...According to him I would be very sick if the pet scan was accurate…...We have decided to get a second opinion on the pet scan…..I also went to my ENT doctor to have him scope my nose and throat….He confirmed the nasopharyngeal mass is GONE…...Sooooo….not sure what to be thinking at this point…...the waiting continues…...

Congrats. That sounds like good news to me. 2 Tests show no tumors! As for PET scan lighting up, there are lots of things that can make them light up. It is unlikely that your body is filled with tumors except for the places where they just disappeared.
